2024 Southern Regional Livestock School

Hosted by Socorro County Extension Service in collaboration with
the Doña Ana, Hidalgo, Luna, and Sierra Counties

The livestock school is for youth exhibitors to learn about raising and showing livestock. Species include lamb, goat, swine, and cattle track. Youth must be 4-H age novice or older. 

Youth are limited to bringing up to 2 animals for their species track. Please select the species of which you would like to learn more about. If the preferred track is full, please call the Socorro County Extension Office at 575-835-0610 to be added to a waitlist.

Limits per species: lamb (30); goat (30); swine (30); and cattle (15)

Registration: Online registration is available to pay with a credit card or mailing your check.

  • Participant Fee: $150 - includes registration and meals for Wednesday dinner, Thursday lunch and dinner, and Friday lunch
  • Non-Participant Meal Plan (ages 8+): $30 per person for meals described above
  • Youth Meal Plan: seven and under, eat Free!

MAIL your check payment to address below. Make checks payable to NMSU. Checks must be received by May 31.

Once registration is complete, a pre-evaluation survey will be sent to your registration email. Registration will not be considered final until the evaluation is completed.
